Furniture Bank is a social enterprise offering full service furniture removal across the GTA. We pickup gently used furniture and housewares from your home or business and transfer them to individuals who have recently transitioned out of homelessness and displacement. In the process, we help turn an empty space into a true home.

We provide 2 distinct services:

  1. a pickup service for people who wish to donate furniture to Furniture Bank
  2. a low cost furniture delivery service for clients of Furniture Bank

Pickup service fees for donors start from $100 and Furniture Bank will issue a charitable tax receipt for the fair market value of your donated items. This holiday season give the gift of furniture and change a life.

Repurpose General Store is a unique social enterprise which operates out of Operation Come Home. The boutique employs youth peer leaders and highlights the hand-crafted works of Operation Come Home’s youth alongside numerous community artisans. Among our artisans, we have partnerships with other social enterprises, including those that work with youth and other individuals who may have physical and developmental disabilities. Our product sales provide at-risk youth with employment opportunities and skills development. Our product is sold on a consignment basis, where when a sale is made we issue 60% of the sale back to the artisan. The remaining 40% is redirected into Repurpose and funds the youth salaries, operating costs and cost of materials for our signature lines.

Inspirations Studio – Store Front and Online

Hand made bowls, mugs, and a puffer fish sculpture, all made by low-income women, can be seen.Inspirations Studio is a social enterprise project of Sistering – A Woman’s Place that teaches low-income women how to create and sell pottery. The program provides women with a safe and inclusive space to be creative and an opportunity to participate in meaningful self-employment.
Inspirations Studio produces a wide selection of stoneware pottery, available in a range of glazes and surface treatments. All glazes used by the studio are food safe and lead free. Inspirations Studio pottery can be used in the microwave and dishwasher.
Studio visits are welcomed with an appointment. Should you not have time for to come to the studio, images of available items can be emailed and those selected items can be delivered at your convenience. Inspirations Studio also welcomes custom orders; generally six weeks are need to complete an order.

The Eva Phoenix Print Shop – Online

The Eva’s Phoenix Print Shop is a socially and environmentally responsible commercial printer that supports a training program for homeless and at-risk youth. Located at Eva’s Phoenix, a transitional housing and employment facility for homeless youth, the Eva’s Phoenix Print Shop is a social enterprise of Eva’s Initiatives.

This year, send your holiday greeting cards through Eva’s Phoenix Print Shop. Each card makes a difference in the lives of homeless and at-risk youth and saves you time and effort.

When you order your holiday cards through Eva’s Initiatives, you know that you have helped homeless and at-risk youth to open the door to their future and the possibilities that lie within themselves.

Each card option was designed by a youth who has stayed at one of Eva’s three shelters. Printing will be handled by Phoenix Print Shop.

$15 per card Includes a custom message, printing, mailing and a $10 charitable donation receipt.
